Carbon Forest Project Committee

The Mission of the Carbon Forest Project is to build old-growth forests by planting native deciduous forests to capture and sink CO2 from the atmosphere to counteract climate change. Our plan is to bring together donors, landowners, land managers, and ecologists to make forest planting on the ground happen.

The Carbon Forest Committee is made up of Unami Meeting members and others who work with Project Manager, John Munro, to oversee the process of creating Carbon Forests, assisting in making contacts with Land Conservancies and other organizations, securing donor and/or grant funding, and the planning of individual Projects including stock purchase, service contracting, and volunteer management.
